DWB111 - The Propeller Nebula
19:52 29/8/2008 UTC
< Previous Next >I found this interesting object, which is known as DWB111. Not so widely known DWB catalog lists HII emissions in Cygnus X region. The objects in this catalog is nice targets for H-alfa imaging like this Propeller Nebula. The nebula is very symmetrical and resembles a propeller well. This image is cropped a bit, because of very bright amp glow in lower right corner of the original. This is a bit challenging object for DSLR, but should be very nice target for cooled CCD's.
