DWB111 - The Propeller Nebula

19:52 29/8/2008 UTC

I found this interesting object, which is known as DWB111. Not so widely known DWB catalog lists HII emissions in Cygnus X region. The objects in this catalog is nice targets for H-alfa imaging like this Propeller Nebula. The nebula is very symmetrical and resembles a propeller well. This image is cropped a bit, because of very bright amp glow in lower right corner of the original. This is a bit challenging object for DSLR, but should be very nice target for cooled CCD's.
07.03.2009: While learning new tools and techniques I reprocessed this image using CCDStack, Nebulosity2 and Photoshop CS4 according to Zone System by Ron Wodaski. I left the original image for reference
