NGC6960/6979 - The Western Veil Nebula and Pickering's Triangle
20:10 29/8/2006 UTC
< Previous Next >Of course I had to return to this target as soon as weather cleared. I framed the image carefully and managed to get other parts of the Veil into view, like Pickering's Triangle. I originally planned exposing this at least 2h30m, but dewing started causing problems, so I ended the session after little more than hour of exposure. This is very hard region during post processing because of Milky Way star clouds. UHC-S filter helped reducing the brightness of the stars a little, but this target really needs a narrowband filter.
