NGC6960 - The Veil Nebula

< Previous Next >

First Light of my new telescope! From now on photons are collected by Skywatcher ED 80 Pro with William Optics 0.8x reducer/flattener. When directly attached to Canon's T-ring it seemed to overcorrect the field curvature a little so I decided to try installing 7.5mm spacer in between, resulting quite a flat field across the whole frame. I attached a 50% resized uncropped original to give an impression how good the field is. Weather was extremely moist and eventually fog and clouds ended my exposures to 8 minutes total. However I am very satisfied to image quality of this combination!
