NGC6960 - The Western Veil

< Previous Next >

This time I went to dark sky site to make longer exposures of Veil Nebula. I had PEC working like charm and almost every frame was usable. Still the result differs little to none from the previous try. The nebula is amazingly dim and is surrounded by lots of stars, making processing a bit difficult. I think filters like UHC would help bringing out the nebula from the stars. I did an experimental trick to remove chromatic aberration. I worked fine, but caused saturation of the stars to drop.
